Life As I Know It
I have an overwhelming feeling that I have a way to go before I feel remotely comfortable in my new role. Working as a nurse midwife has been awesome and scary all at once. And tiring.
I hope to find the energy soon to elaborate.

Good luck! I have been a CNM for seven years and just did my first breech delivery (32 wks and precipitous) on Monday. It is still scary and tiring sometimes!
It took me the first 2-3 months to stop gritting my teeth on the way home from the office or each delivery (with the resulting headaches) as I ruminated on everything I did, didn't do, and whether it was the right decision. It takes a good year to really start feeling comfy. Don't be too hard on yourself (expecting perfection, etc) and don't be afraid to ask questions...lots of them! It will all come together as you gain experience.
Hang in there sister.
I can't wait to hear all about.
Hold on tight for the wild ride!!
